Deep in the Black Forrest

Or as Natalie calls it the Dark Woods. She came up with that when she couldn't remember its name. Any way, a couple hours north of Zürich is the Black Forrest. We got to Titlesee in February and the lake was frozen. That night it dumped snow on us.

Here Natalie is sneaker skating on the frozen lake (while Mommy bites her nails). The day before it was clear and people were ice skating, but after the snow dump the night before it is hard to see.

Natalie stops to ask a local where to buy some of those famous woodcarvings he was carrying. But this guy was not very talkative, kind of stone faced (or maybe wood faced). But alas, we did find a cockoo clock to buy (not a little one either). Boy do they have lots of clocks here.

We had some good forest cake too (named after this place).
