The Bodensee lake is the corner border of these three countries. The Rhine river, which servers as the German-French and also German-Swiss border feeds into the Bodensee. We visited a couple of towns along the Bodensee for some good food and shopping.
This little village named Konstance. The village is mostly rows of coblestone streets with little shops, a shopping haven. We've been there a couple times, as it is less than an hour drive.

We also visited a well preserved mid-evil town named Stein-and-Rhine. It is basically a single court yard where several roads meet. The court yard is surrounded with buildings such as these one:
