Von Halabuk Family Travels to Lucern

Lucern is a city in the middle of Switzerland (Swiss German is the common language here). Lucern in a mid-size town, on a large lake with three high peeks surrounding it. Lucern is a very old traditional city. There is still a very old wooden bridge crossing the river in town.

We rode up a cogwheel tram to the top of one of the peeks named Pilatus. It is the steepest cogwheel in the world (at least they told us that), it climbs at 48%. At the top we listened to alphorns and yodelling. The alphorn factory is here in Lucern.

Here Mommy and Natalie are at the top of Pilatis posing with a real alphorn player (sucking on a ricola). We actually bought an alphorn, performances available upon request (and beer).

Back down on the lake, Natalie waits for the boat to arrive.
