Lugano is on the southern border of Switzerland and Italy. It too is on a lake (there are a lot of lakes in this tiny country). Italian is the language of choice here.

One day we rode bikes around the boardwalk. We drove into Italy for dinner (just minutes away) where we didn't get any pasta but had plenty of fresh fish from the lake (we have no clue what kind, Jeanette's still had it's head).
